A temple has also been built in his name in honour of Saint Galav and this holy place was named Galtaji after Saint Galav. The Galtaji Temple was built in the 18th century by Diwan Rao Kriparam of Sawai Jai Singh II.

Diwan Rao Kriparam has 7 kunds constructed at this place, Galtaji Kund is the largest among these seven kunds and has the highest recognition. The source of water of Galtaji Kund and the rest of Kund is a natural waterfall located at this place which flows only during the rainy season.
The water of this waterfall is considered very sacred. During the month of Sawan, Kavandiyas carry this holy water from Galtaji Kund. There is also a Gomukh in Galtaji Kund which used to flow continuously till a few years ago, but due to climate change, it now flows only in the rainy season.

When Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II envisaged this splendid and settled city of Jaipur, his clerk Vidyadhar Bhattacharya contributed the most to this dream of the Maharaja at that time. Vidyadhar Bhattacharya was originally a Bengali Brahmin and besides being a clerk, he was well-versed in other subjects.
Vidyadhar Bhattacharya was most interested in Vaastu Shastra. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II was already aware of Vidyadhar Bhattacharya’s knowledge of architecture and therefore he entrusted the responsibility of building the city of Jaipur to Vidyadhar Bhattacharya.
Vidyadhar’s garden, built in the memory of Vidyadhar Bhattacharya is located in the foothills of the Aravalli hills in the western part of Jaipur. Because of this, the place has become one of the most beautiful gardens in Jaipur. Vidyadhar Bagh is one of the most beautiful and old gardens in Jaipur city.
This garden has been constructed keeping in mind the architecture of the city, so special attention has been given to the Mughal and Hindu architectural styles at the time of construction of the garden. To enhance the beauty of the garden, a dome, chattariya, fountains and small reservoirs were built in this garden.

Chulgiri Temple Jaipur – (Digambar Jain Temple)
The Chulagiri Temple is a world-famous Digambar Jain Temple situated on the top of the Chulagiri Hills of the Aravalli Range, located near the Ghat ki Guni in Jaipur. Located in the Chulagiri hills, this Digambar Jain Temple is also known to tourists and residents as the Chulagiri Jain Temple.
In 1953, when Saint Sri Desh Bhushan Maharaj of Jain Heropanth came to this place, he liked this hill station surrounded by the chosen stone of the Aravalli ranges. Saint Shree Desh Bhushan Maharaj addressed this place by the name of Chulagiri due to the high quantity of stone chosen in the small hills of this place.
From that time onwards, these small hills of the Aravalli ranges came to be known as Chulagiri. Away from the hustle and bustle of Jaipur city, this place becomes very green during the rainy season. Due to being located in the Aravalli ranges, a lot of wildlife is also seen wandering around this place.
Statues of Lord Parshvanath, Lord Mahavir and Lord Neminath have been installed inside the temple and in addition to these, 24 other Jain Tirthankara figurines have also been installed. The 21-foot-high statue of Lord Mahavira is a special attraction of this temple.

Ramnivas Bagh Jaipur
This garden was the largest in Jaipur at the time when Maharaja Sawai Ramsingh built Ramnivas Bagh in 1868. Members of the royal family used to visit in the evening in the summer season, in this huge garden situated in the southern part of the boundary wall of Jaipur city.
Apart from the members of the royal family, it was also open to the citizens of Jaipur for some time. It is estimated that the cost of construction of Ramnivas Bagh built for famine relief work came to about Rs 4 lakh at that time. Ramnivas Bagh, situated right in the middle of Jaipur city, still impresses everyone with its construction style and beauty.
To enhance the beauty of the garden and to avoid the heat, small square gardens were made and big shady trees were planted so that the citizens here could get cold and shady places to rest.
Over time, the erstwhile kings and the British built the Albert Hall Museum, Zoo, Chitra Niwas, Mukut Mahal, Ajaybaghar, Jantusala and Rabindra Rang Manch in this garden at Ramnivas Bagh. However, most of the zoo animals have been transferred to Nahargarh Biological Park.

Albert Hall Museum Jaipur
The Albert Hall Museum, situated right in the middle of the Ramnivas Bagh, is a magnificent building about 150 years old. Maharaja Ramsingh started the construction of Albert Hall in his honor when Edward Saptam Prince of Wales, King of England came to Jaipur on 6 February 1876.
While designing the Albert Hall, Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob used the architecture of many countries to make this building grand. A mixture of Indian, Mughal, British and Persian architecture is visible in this museum. It is the only building in India that has used the architecture of other countries together.
Albert Hall took 10 years to build, and in 1887 the museum was opened to the general public. Presently this museum is the oldest and largest museum in Rajasthan. Upon entering the Albert Hall Museum, a hall in which frescoes and insignia of all the Rajas of the Jaipur royal family are displayed.
Apart from the frescoes of the royal family, replicas of famous artefacts from all over the world have also been displayed in this museum. Apart from paintings and artefacts, the museum has ivory, precious stones, and objects of historical and archaeological significance.
The centre of greatest attraction in the Albert Hall Museum is the mummy of a woman brought from Egypt named ‘Tutu’, about 2350 years old. A replica of Egyptian kings is also placed in the basement of the Albert Hall Museum.

Dolls Museum Jaipur
The dollhouse is the only museum in Rajasthan that houses more than 600 dolls from around the country and abroad. The museum has a collection of dolls from about 40 countries, each of which appears to repress their country’s culture.
This museum in Jaipur is located on the premises of Seth Anandi Lal Poddar Deaf School located on Jawaharlal Nehru Marg. This dollhouse was established in 1974 by the Bhagwani Bai Sekhsaria family by forming a trust. The main objective of this trust was that whatever money would be received from this museum would be used only for the education of deaf children.
From its construction until 1980 it used to visit the large number of tourists in this museum, after that the number of tourists started decreasing in this museum, and after some time it was closed. Just a few years ago, this museum has been renovated and divided into two parts.
The newly constructed part of the museum is named after Savita Ranjitsingh Bhandari. The dollhouse museum showcases Japan’s famous doll Hina Masturai to attract tourists and in addition to children’s superheroes and cartoon characters such as Iron Man, Super Man, Spider-Man, Hulk and Bateman dolls included in this museum.

Moti Dungri Temple Jaipur
Although Jaipur is famous as Pink City all over the world, very few people will know that Jaipur is also called Chota Kashi. Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple located in Jaipur was established in 1761 under the supervision of Seth Jai Ram Paliwal. The idol of Lord Ganesha installed in the temple was brought from Mavli, a small town located near Udaipur. Mavli was the in-law of Sawai Madho Singh I, Maharaja of Jaipur.
It is believed that when this statue was brought from Gujarat in Mavli, then it was 500 years old. There is a small hill located near the temple called Moti Dungri, due to its location in the foothills of this hill, this Ganesh temple was named Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple.

Birla Mandir Jaipur
Moti Dungri is located just a few steps from the Ganesh temple, the Lakshmi Narayan Temple, known by most as the Birla Temple. The Birla Mandir, made of white marble stone, is a striking combination of South Indian architecture and modern architecture. In 1988, the Maharaja of Jaipur gifted land to the Birla Foundation for one rupee for the construction of the Birla Temple.
Dedicated to the biggest worshiper of Hinduism, Lord Vishnu and his religious wife Lakshmi Ji, this temple has made a distinct identity in the tourism sector of Jaipur in a very short time. Inside the temple, the shlokas associated with Hindu scriptures are engraved on the marble stones very beautifully, besides many ancient inscriptions and frescoes associated with Hinduism are also seen.
The dome of the Birla temple is built in three parts, these three parts represent the three forms of religion. The premises of the Birla Auditorium spread over 10 acres, houses the buildings of BM Birla Planetarium, Science Museum, Computer Center, Library and Information Resources.
The Birla Auditorium is one of the largest auditoriums in India with a seating capacity of 1350 people at a time. Many international conferences such as Stone Mart, Tourism, Business, Medical, Science and Education-related events are organized throughout the year in this auditorium. Many international-level plays have also been performed in this auditorium.
A main attraction of the Birla Auditorium is the BM Birla Planetarium also built on its premises. Launched on 29 September 1962, the planetarium is said to be as large and magnificent as the constellations built in Calcutta and London. At the time of its construction, this planetarium was India’s first and the largest in Asia.
The BM Birla Planetarium can seat 350 people simultaneously. In this planetarium, things related to the universe and astronomy are told by robots through the story on a circular screen.
Birla Auditorium Jaipur Timings
The Birla Planetarium shows from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The duration of the planetarium show is 45 minutes.
Birla Auditorium Jaipur Entry Fee
Children’s ticket in the planetarium is Rs 40 / – and an adult ticket is Rs 60 / -. The planetarium is closed on Mondays.
